Well, they really are Galloway cattle, but I feel that they look more like ancient creatures that could be home somewhere in the Himalayas. They are grazing next to the open-air museum (Freilicht Museum) in Beuren, helping to keep the grass short between the traditional orchards.

Shortly after, I encountered a few sheep grazing between the apple trees.
They quickly returned to their flock.
